The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum tells the story of country music and its place in American culture through artifacts, films, touch-screen computer programs, listening stations, and interactions with professional songwriters, musicians, and artists. A non-profit educational institution, the museum provides a variety of programs focusing on music, history, visual art, architecture, science, and technology, which are based on the Tennessee state curriculum standards. Interactive programs and guided tours are offered to students and teachers, grades K-12.
Most school programs and tours for groups of eight or more students are scheduled twice daily, 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The museum is closed Tuesdays in January and February. Reservations are required at least one month in advance, and six weeks in advance for Words and Music. Please note: all programs have a maximum number of students.

After the museum receives a school group reservation request, a confirmation letter is sent, along with a Teacher's Resource Guide of pre- and post-visit classroom lessons. Admission is $3.95 per student when visiting with a group. Metro Nashville Public School students receive free admission for group visits.Two adult chaperones per every ten students are admitted free. Any additional adults are expected to pay the standard $17.95 admission and are not guaranteed a tour guide. Payment can be made in advance or on the day of the visit.
School bus transportation scholarships for field trips to the museum are available to middle schools in the Metro Nashville Public School system, thanks to the support of Leadership Music. Please call 416-2088, for more details.
The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum requires one adult chaperone for every ten students. Students are divided into small groups for the tours, and chaperones must remain with the groups at all times. It is the responsibility of the chaperones to maintain orderly student behavior and to assist the tour guide. Two adullts per every ten students is the maximum number of chaperones. A self-guided tour booklet for teachers will be sent with the confirmation letter for groups touring independently and is also available at the museum's information desk.
Bus parking is available on the 5th Avenue side of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum on a first come, first served basis. Paid parking lots are located directly behind the museum and across fifth Avenue. Parking fees in these lots vary. For Studio B parking information, please contact the Studio B manager, 615-242-5167.
