The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum tells the story of country music and its place in American culture through artifacts, films, touch-screen computer programs, listening stations, and interactions with professional songwriters, musicians, and artists. A non-profit educational institution, the museum provides a variety of programs focusing on music, history, visual art, architecture, science, and technology, which are based on the Tennessee state curriculum standards. Interactive programs and guided tours are offered to students and teachers, grades K-12.

Upon receipt of your school group reservation request, a confirmation letter is sent, along with a Teacher's Resource Guide of pre- and post-visit classroom lessons. For reservations that include one of our more in-depth programs, such as Words & Music, an additional lesson kit will be sent for the specific program.
School programs and tours for groups of eight or more students are scheduled twice daily, 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Historic Studio B Workshops are scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. The Museum is closed Tuesdays in January and February. Reservations are required at least one month in advance and six weeks in advance for Words & Music. Please note: All programs have a maximum number of students.
Admission is $3.95 per student when visiting with a group. Metro Nashville
Public School students receive free admission for group visits.Two adult
chaperones per every ten students are admitted free. Any additional adults are
expected to pay the standard $17.95 admission and are not guaranteed a tour
guide. Payment can be made in advance or on the day of the visit.
School bus transportation scholarships for field trips to the museum are
available to middle schools in the Metro Nashville Public School system, thanks
to the support of Leadership Music. Please call 416-2088, for more details.
Student ticket subsidy may be available for schools visiting the Country
Music Hall of Fame® and Museum. Please contact The Community

Target will award up to 800 grants of $1000 to educators, teachers,
principals, para-professionals, or classified staff to fund field trips for
their students. For more information please visit the Target
website. Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2006 to November
1, 2006.
The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum requires one adult
chaperone for every ten students. Students are divided into small groups for
the tours, and chaperones must remain with the groups at all times. It is the
responsibility of the chaperones to maintain orderly student behavior and to
assist the tour guide. Two adullts per every ten students is the maximum number
of chaperones. Any adults above this number are expected to pay the standard
$17.95 admission and are not guaranteed a tour guide.
Teachers are welcome to lead students independently through the exhibits.

Bus parking is available on the 5th Avenue side of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum on a first come, first served basis. Paid parking lots are located directly behind the museum and across 5th Avenue. Parking fees in these lots vary from $3 to $12.
